PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)
Also: power usage effectiveness
PUE is a datacenter’s total facility power divided by the power delivered to the IT equipment. A PUE of 1.2 means 20% overhead (cooling, power distribution) on top of what the chips draw. It multiplies the real-world energy and emissions of any compute you run.
